Indah Day Spa's Unmatched Rural Charm Wins Australia's Top Spa Award
The serene ambiance of Geraldton's Indah Day Spa has captivated the nation, as it was recently crowned Australia's best rural spa at the prestigious 2025 Spa and Wellness Awards on the Gold Coast. This unexpected triumph left owner Tessa Turner and her team in awe, given the stiff competition in their category.
"I never imagined we'd win, but when we did, it was a thrilling surprise," Ms. Turner shared. "I attended the Spa Wellness Summit at an extraordinary venue, home to the largest spa in the southern hemisphere, and we were up against them."
Ms. Turner attributes Indah's success to the meticulous attention to detail that sets them apart.
"Our dedication to crafting every experience with care is what makes us unique," she explained. "Though we're not the biggest, our personalized approach, from the client's perspective to our team's satisfaction, is our secret sauce."
Indah's new owners, Paula Denison and Kane Buffham, are set to take over Bunbury's beloved Taffy's Store after 22 years. Ms. Turner highlighted the diverse offerings, including spa parties and makeup days, as well as the modern facilities, as contributing factors to their success.
"Our new building and facilities played a significant role in our win," she noted. "But it's the little things that truly make a difference."
Located in Lewis Street, Indah has been a cherished part of Geraldton since 2009. Ms. Turner expressed her excitement and gratitude for the team's dedication, especially those who have been with her since the beginning.
"This award is a testament to the hard work and passion of our team," she said. "It's a shared victory, not just mine or theirs, but a celebration of the collective effort, from my family's support to the unwavering loyalty of our Geraldton clients."
