Unveiling the Future of Warfare: FPV Drones at Dubai Airshow 2025 (2025)

The future of warfare is here, and it's time to explore the cutting-edge technology unveiled at the Dubai Airshow 2025. E-System Solutions, an Emirati-Belarusian powerhouse, has unveiled a game-changing family of small combat drones, and their story is nothing short of remarkable.

Nikolay Novichkov brings us the inside scoop. E-System Solutions has taken center stage with its innovative FPV drone technology, developed from real-world combat experiences in Ukraine. In a theater of war where fiber-optic-controlled drones have proven their worth against electronic warfare systems, E-System Solutions has engineered a kamikaze FPV quadcopter with a fiber-optic control line. This drone packs a punch, capable of carrying warheads ranging from 1.5 kg to a hefty 5 kg. Its effectiveness against light armored vehicles and ground-based aircraft, with a kill radius of 3 meters, is impressive. And it doesn't stop there; it can also take out personnel within a 7-meter range. The drone's high-explosive fragmentation warhead creates a devastating cylindrical and axial fragmentation field upon detonation.

But here's where it gets controversial: the drone's range is determined by the length of the fiber optic cable, reaching an impressive 25 km. This raises questions about the balance between mobility and control.

In addition to the fiber-optic-controlled drone, E-System Solutions showcased a kamikaze/bomber FPV quadrocopter with a radio channel. This drone utilizes high-explosive fragmentation or shaped-charge warheads, capable of penetrating rolled homogeneous armor (RHA) to a depth of 200 mm. Imagine the impact this could have on the battlefield!

According to the developers, these FPV drones can be deployed in swarms, adding a new dimension to aerial warfare. The warheads can detonate upon impact or be initiated by a command while in the air, offering tactical flexibility.

E-System Solutions has completed the development of these drones, and combat testing is on the horizon. The world is watching as these innovative drones push the boundaries of aerial combat.
